72 Participants Join Together to Advance Educational Opportunity and Strengthen Community Impact

Stockbridge, GA — August 18, 2025 — The George M. Hughes Foundation proudly hosted its first-ever Golf Outing at Eagles Landing Country Club, where 72 golfers, supporters, sponsors, and volunteers gathered for an unforgettable day of fellowship, friendly competition, and purpose-driven giving.

The event served as a key fundraiser for the Foundation’s scholarship programs, which provide transformative opportunities to high-potential high school seniors across the North Metro–Atlanta region. As the Foundation continues to honor the enduring legacy of George M. Hughes, Sr., this inaugural outing marked a meaningful milestone in expanding access to higher education for Black youth.
